Build a Board

A private woodworking session

Spend a hands-on day making your own solid-wood serving board. You design it, build it, and take home a finished piece you'll actually use, with guidance and safety at every step.

The experience

A small group,
a real product

Up to 4 guests

Kept small so everyone gets plenty of room, direct guidance, and time on the machines without waiting around.

5 hours

Start to finish with professional guidance. No experience needed.

1 board

A solid-wood serving board you made yourself and will actually use.

Halfway through, we stop for coffee: a good espresso or an iced latte, with some snacks.

Good to know

It's hands-on and active, with lots of standing, sanding and moving around. It's a lot of fun, and it's also tiring. Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes.

The material

Premium hardwood,
your choice

Every board is made from solid, kiln-dried, sustainably sourced hardwood. You choose the wood you like best.

Cherry wood

Cherry

Warm reddish-brown with a smooth, tight grain that deepens with age.

Hard maple wood

Hard Maple

Pale and dense, with a clean grain that holds up to daily chopping and serving.

Bete mansonia wood

Bete Mansonia

Deep brown with a bold grain. A rarer hardwood that stands out.

Your safety

We guide you through every step, start to finish. You never use a tool alone, and nothing moves faster than you're ready for. Eye protection and dust masks are provided throughout, work areas are kept clear, and every machine is switched off as soon as it's not in use, so you can relax and enjoy the process.
